We are looking for a motivated go-getter who has the technical experience and leadership skills necessary to lead a team of talented employees.
Your role will include but not be limited to the three main areas of the production process:
- Planning - preparing orders, establishing quality standards, scheduling manpower and procuring raw materials - Control - managing production schedules, monitoring inventory and insuring timely response to sales demands - Supervision - managing supervisors, organizing staff and making sure targets are met The PM is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
This position plans and assigns work, implements policies, creates procedures, implements production method improvements, insures all resources, including equipment are sufficient to perform the desired objectives.
In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the PM must support the development of strategies for the company that are integral to its long-term health.
Duties also include support for development of new products with responsibilities varying in relation to the technical expertise of the applicant.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Hands-on leader responsible for overall operations performance Proactively manage shop floor, fully engage with supervisors and staff Mange production to support business needs, provide an activity report in weekly staff meetings Achieve production objectives through effective leadership and direction of the team Determine the amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.
) Keep track and control inventory, do cycle counts when necessary (missing parts etc.
) Stimulate employee engagement in factory operations Develop and promote a culture of Safety, Quality and Production compliance.
Ensure production employees are properly oriented and trained Anticipate and determine causes of delays in operations and take appropriate action to meet schedules Report promptly when delays occur, estimate time of delay and when operations will be resumed.
Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations Support new product development Additional Qualifications include:
Ability to hire, train and develop people High level of integrity and professionalism Strong leadership and decision-making skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

years of management experience a manufacturing environment Bachelor's Degree preferred Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Experience operating machines including sewing, machining etc.
Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control, cost, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture process Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as word processing, managing files, etc.
Knowledge of SCUBA helpful but not required Experience with Macola software Job Type:
